SWEET DIRT DESIGNS focuses almost exclusively on seasonal plantings. This narrow concentration makes our product exceptional: We often 'rescue' containers planted by landscapers who have little design experience and even less knowledge of plants for containers. With our considerable expertise, we can help you determine the size, style and placement of new pots and then source and procure them too.
Containers can be planted seasonally, including holiday installations or other arrangements for the winter. For some, summer flowers are all that are desired and this is fine by us. And while the heart of our business is containers, we will also install in-ground annuals (bedding plants). This service includes sweeps of impatiens or begonias, gorgeous mixed beds for continuous bloom or selective additions in perennial gardens for extended flowering. Additionally, Sweet Dirt offers a maintenance service to prune, dead-head and fertilize your containers to keep them healthy and beautiful. |
Why Maintenance?Plants grow. Blossoms die. For a planter to look good all season, it needs love. We offer periodic maintenance to deadhead, prune and fertilize your planters. We can visit weekly, monthly or somewhere in between. And we have a watering service for when you are away or just so you never have to think about it. With regular
maintenance, a planter will look better, and better for longer. A maintained and watered pot planted up in May will still look beautiful into the fall. |
Holiday
Winter is no time to leave your pots empty, and Sweet Dirt has lots of options (see Seasons:Winter). If you are looking for a festive holiday display, we also make custom wreaths and garland and offer decorating and lighting services (see Holiday).
Events + table top
From a wedding to a dinner party, SWEET DIRT brings its distinctive mix of color and form to your event (See EVENTS).
